The persistence of growth

Drew Brosnan

I build the growth engine for consumer and marketplace businesses.

The paid media and lifecycle programs that bring revenue in, and the attribution that proves which of it worked. I grew Macy’s paid channels to a billion a year in tracked revenue, and helped take Redbubble public.

    • Marketing-mix modeling
    • Attribution
    • Lifecycle
    • ETL
    • Team leadership

Marketing lead for a dental-supply marketplace, and a contributor to the venture-capital due diligence behind its acquisition. I built the measurement layer the company runs on, then the demand programs on top of it.

    • Built the org’s first marketing-mix model and an ETL pipeline across 10+ ad-publisher sources, with impression, click, and multi-touch attribution via Funnel.io and GA4, and Fivetran and Snowflake into Sigma.
    • Grew lifecycle LTV +20% QoQ for six months, rebuilding the program on Klaviyo and Attentive SMS and preparing for a customer data platform.
    • Lifted brand share of voice +22% in six months with survey-measured campaigns across Criteo, Facebook, and YouTube.
    • Launched an email agency, SMS, Criteo display, MNTN CTV video, and server-side Google Tag Manager, and optimized a 50,000-product catalog across Google and Facebook.
    • Built an agile kanban priority system, migrated project tooling from Monday.com to Jira, and led the analytics-engineering RFP for DOMO dashboards.

    • Shopping / PLA

    • Google Marketing Platform
    • IPO scale

Seven years, promoted from Performance Manager to Director. I led Search and Feed Marketing for a global two-sided marketplace at five-billion-product scale, and helped take the company public on the ASX.

    • As Director, led Search and Feed Marketing, a data scientist, two managers, and a coordinator, driving campaigns responsible for roughly 40% of the marketplace’s daily gross transaction value.
    • Drove 37% marketing-contract savings, more than $500K a year, by consolidating the Google Marketing Platform and Productsup across Redbubble and TeePublic.
    • Launched analytics tracking 80% of sellable products, more than 5 billion, via server and client Google Tag Manager.
    • Scaled shopping feeds +2,000%, from tens of thousands to tens of millions of products, and co-built an ML bidding and product-scorecard program with a doctoral data scientist.
    • As Senior Manager, grew the team +100% and moved the channel from fully agency-run to hybrid in-house at +20% YoY revenue, running dynamic product ads across Criteo, GDN, and Yahoo at 3B+ SKU scale.

A soft watch, on schedule

I run marketing like an engineer, because I trained as one.

I lead growth marketing and the technology under it: the paid media that brings customers in, the lifecycle programs that keep them, and the data plumbing that tells you which of it actually worked. I have run Macy’s search budget, scaled Redbubble’s shopping feeds through its path to a public listing, and now direct marketing at Net32.

The rare part is that I build the measurement myself. I write the SQL, model the attribution, and stand up the ETL, so when a number looks wrong I catch it before it reaches a board deck. I studied computer science engineering, and it shows in how I run a marketing org: fewer opinions, more evidence.

Currently Alongside Net32, I am co-building Emergent Solutions, a fractional CTO and CFO consultancy with an open-source-first go-to-market stack. emergentsolution.com
